Etre lesbienne séparatiste c’est réagir à la problématique de classe dans sa vie, c’est avoir besoin de vivre dans une société différente, libérée de l’emprise des hommes (gays ou non). Londres est l’enfer pour une lesbienne séparatiste.

« Je veux juste me retrouver avec d’autres lesbiennes, pas de mecs, pas de gays, et en dehors des lieux commerciaux, avec un peu de politique, la nôtre, et une vie sociale autour de nous, la nôtre..
Pourquoi est-ce si difficile?
Je pense que le mot juste est séparatisme.. ou radicale, radicalisme? Un lieu de vie lesbien? Un groupe, une société lesbienne non-mixte (non-mixte mâle, ça va de soi mais bon apparemment c’est impossible à trouver).«
